About Gupton Farmhouse

A short walk from golden, sandy beaches, this Pembrokeshire farmhouse is packed full of coastal charm.

Located on the Pembrokeshire coast, just a 10-minute walk from the sea, Gupton Farmhouse is the perfect coastal escape. The farmhouse has a light, airy interior, with enough space for ten people and two dogs. Throughout the cottage you’ll find handcrafted wooden furniture, some of which was handmade by National Trust rangers using wood sourced from nearby Stackpole estate. Downstairs, there is a lounge with a wood burner – ideal for curling up in front of after a day exploring. There’s also a small, enclosed garden with a picnic bench and BBQ.

You’ll find lots of things to do right on your doorstep. Hike along the coast, go wildlife watching at the nearby bird hide, or head straight to the beach. Freshwater West beach is a 15 minute walk from the cottage. This wild, sandy stretch is adored by adventurers and nature lovers alike. With consistent swell and strong waves, the beach is regarded as one of Wales’ best surfing spots. If you’re a beginner, there’s a surfing school next door to the cottage where you can lean to surf.

With its award-winning beaches, tranquil wooded valleys and outdoor activity centre, Stackpole estate is a short drive away. From kayaking to coasteering, you can try a variety of outdoor activities on the estate. Or you could visit Tenby, a harbour town just a 30-minute drive along the coast. Stroll along the cobbled streets past brightly coloured buildings or visit one of the many shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs in the town.

About the Acorn rating

We have applied a 1-5 acorn rating to each cottage to be used only as a guide that covers location, style of interior and facilities you may be looking for. The range runs from 1 Acorn at a more basic level such as Bird How which due to its stunning yet remote location doesn’t have a caretaker through to 5 Acorns at the highest level – such as Shute Barton.

Cottage pricing is not judged on the Acorn rating alone and as all our cottages are of an individual nature we recommend that all factors are considered when making your choice.
