About Lower Pentire Barn
A sophisticated barn conversion with a timber-frame ceiling and views over Carminowe Creek.Sitting in a dreamy position next to the still waters of Carminowe Creek, is this stylish barn conversion. It’s based on one floor where its 18th-century rafters and slate floors are met by cool interior styling, a bright double bedroom and a contemporary bathroom. You’ll have your own enclosed garden complete with a picnic table. Although trees obstruct the view the cottage is very close to Loe Pool.
Explore the area by foot; the restaurants, pubs and shops of Porthleven are a pleasant two-mile walk along the sands from here. Helston town is just two miles inland. Discover its folk heritage and stroll around its bustling streets in search of a hearty pasty or a traditional pub lunch.
Further afield, visit Goldolphin House, less than a 20-minute drive, for its acres of dramatic parkland and formal gardens. St Michael’s Mount, just a 30-minute drive to the west, is a must-see. From afar it looks like a mysterious island, but take the ferry or walk across the causeway when the tide is out, and you’ll discover its subtropical gardens and 12th-century castle.
