About Trelissick Quay CottagePerfect for kayakers, this river-side cottage has its own quay for your kayak or canoe.
Live life on the edge in this stunning quayside cottage. It rises from the densely wooded banks of the Fal Estuary and perches right on the water’s edge, with the Trelissick estate just behind. This two-bedroom stone cottage combines rustic original features such as the low beams, with contemporary décor. You’ll love the large bathroom upstairs, with its luxury roll top bath that overlooks the river below.
Sit back in its enclosed garden and watch the boats sail by. You’ll have your own private quay so bring your own small boat or hire one locally. Trips upstream on the river Fal will take you through its winding creeks. Alternatively, catch the nearby King Harry Ferry for trips down to St Mawes, the Roseland Peninsula and Falmouth.
If you find yourself on the Roseland Peninsula, be sure to loop onto the South West Coast Path for long hikes along the headlands. Walk to St Anthony Head for stunning seascapes or Portscatho for a glimpse of a small, traditional fishing village.

Children: The garden is private and enclosed but visitors should be aware that it is on the edge of a fast flowing and deep river.
Heating: Gas central heating and convector heating included.
Parking: Garage and parking at the rear of the cottage for 2 cars.

Utilities: There is a large utility room adjoining the house with combined washer/dryer, lavatory and wash hand basin. This is also suitable for storing bicycles, surf boards, wet gear, etc.
Telephone: Limited reception for mobile telephones.
*WiFi: This is now available, but please note that intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and should not be relied upon. We are pleased to provide free WiFi at this cottage which is supported by BT.
Offers: Guests will benefit from a late Sunday checkout of 4pm at this cottage.
Logs: A starter supply of seasoned logs, fire lighters and kindling will be provided free of charge from 1st July 2019. Guests will need to source any additional logs elsewhere.
Barbecue: Barbecues will not be available at this cottage from 1st October 2019.
Local Suppliers: Canoe Cornwall offer good value and good quality. They provide archery, bushcraft and canoeing sessions on Fal and Helford.
Please note: The King Harry Company operate a chain ferry across the river at this point. There will be traffic on the road outside the cottage and across the river from 7am to 10pm each day. There will be some background noise from the chain powering the ferry when it is in operation.
