About Exmoor coast path, bushcraft and SUPingBushcraft, SUPing and conservation work in the Exmoor National Park.
A fantastic short-break experience exploring the stunning and diverse landscape of Exmoor National Park and the Holnicote Estate. The first day is spent working alongside the ranger team carrying out conservation work on the 20sq mile Holnicote Estate. This is followed by two days of non-stop coastal activities - walking the first section of the South West Coast Path from the official start in Minehead to the beautiful and picturesque Porlock Weir for ice-creams, a morning practising bushcraft skills and an afternoon of fun and challenge with stand-up paddle boarding in Porlock Bay.
About the accommodation
A stone-built barn that was converted in the 1970s and is situated on the Watersmeet Estate on the North Devon coast. The bunkhouse provides a warm and comfy place to relax after a hard day’s work. There are two dormitories, a leader’s room and bathroom upstairs plus an additional bathroom downstairs. There is a pleasant garden with picnic benches and a barbecue. If you want to venture a little further, there is a delightful country pub a short walk away. The views of the coast and surrounding countryside are dramatic and spectacular.
Notes for guests
Suggested kit list for paddle boarding activity: old trainers that you don’t mind getting wet, old pair of shorts to wear over your wetsuit (very bright/colourful are good) and a large towel.
Wetsuit/helmet/buoyancy aids are supplied.
