About Halloween half-term fun

Pumpkins, ghosts, spiders and bats - that's what this holiday is made of … a spooktastic week of family-orientated fun.

Haunting Halloween holiday fun is in the air at Dinefwr and Dolaucothi. Come and join us and help our visitors carve over 800 pumpkins, make ghosties, ghouls, bats and spiders and other Halloween favourites, get involved in haunting tours underground at the mines or a spooky sleepover in a haunted house.

About the accommodation

Dinefwr Bunkhouse forms part of courtyards adjoining Newton House of the Dinefwr Park Estate. The combined living area and kitchen are homely and sociable, with large sofas and a wood-burning stove. Bedroom accommodation is in dormitories with 3 to 8 single beds each and modern, newly refurbished shower rooms. There are fantastic views over the seventeenth-century deer park from the patio which is reached from doors off the living area and has wooden bench seating and a barbecue. The old kitchen for Newton House is situated below, and the basecamp would once have been used for servants’ accommodation.
