About Hedge-laying in Upper Wharfedale

Learn traditional skills in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales.

Ever fancied having a go at hedgelaying? There are lots of hedges that need your valuable assistance in the beautiful setting of Upper Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales. Don’t worry if you’ve never done it before as you’ll be given all the training you need, including how to use tools safely.
You’ll be in rolling countryside with steep-sided valleys, vast heather-covered moorland hilltops and a patchwork of dry stone walls and barns. It can be wild and windswept one day and quiet and calm the next, so pack accordingly. Experienced rangers will be on hand to help all week.
