About Reawakening Wray Castle Estate
Help bring Wray Castle Estate back to life through a mixture of renovating old trees, removing unwanted plants and caring for the natural play trail.From removing dead wood from established trees to restoring habitats by removing invasive species - this week will give you a huge sense of pride as you all breathe life into the once-glorious estate. You'll also care for the much-loved natural play trail, ensuring that thousands of families can enjoy it for years to come.
About the accommodation
Located in its own peaceful wooded grounds above Lake Windermere with great fell views. The bunkhouse consists of two single-storey cabin-style constructions: the Longland and the Acland. The Longland is made up of three buildings with a large common room with log burner and separate blocks for the dormitories and shower block. The Acland is a self-contained single building. There are large private grounds with a fire pit and barbecue areas.
