Eating and shopping at Kedleston Hall

The restaurant at Kedleston is open daily – a perfect pitstop before or after your walk, with takeaway food and drinks also available. Don't forget to stop at the gift shop, where we stock a range of gifts and treats to appeal to all tastes.

Eating at Kedleston Hall

The Great Kitchen restaurant at Kedleston Hall serves hot and cold meals and drinks, as well as sandwiches and light snacks. Pop in for breakfast before your walk in the parkland and start the day with a bacon bap or garlic mushrooms on sourdough along with a chai steamer.

Wheelchair users wishing to access the restaurant can enter via the rear of the Hall as it is largely flat flag stones with uninterrupted access. There is outdoor seating (where dogs are welcome) on the front lawn as well as covered seating in the stableyard.

Lunches and snacks

We serve a range of hot and cold lunches from 12 noon onwards. Vegetarian and vegan options are always available, as well as freshly made sandwiches or lighter lunches.

Family offer

There’s a 'pick and mix' style picnic box available for children in the restaurant chiller, as well as a selection of hot meals. There are highchairs available to use indoors – ask a member of staff to bring one to your table.

Takeaway refreshments

During peak times and at weekends, the refreshments kiosk and trailer are open, serving sandwiches, hot snacks and drinks. Please check opening times on arrival.

We have recently re-stocked our shop with some stylish new reusable cups (includes a free drink when purchased.) These are also available at our restaurant facilities. Receive a 25p discount for every hot drink with any reusable cup.

Allergen information

Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free.

If you have an allergy or intolerance and would like ingredient information about the food and drink served, please ask the staff, who will be happy to help.

Shopping at Kedleston Hall

You'll find the shop located inside the hall on the ground floor, with access via the church and garden. Follow the signs or just ask a member of the team for directions.

Seasonal and local produce

Seasonal ranges include gifts, food and drink, plants, greetings cards and calendars. We’re proud to support local producers by stocking items including jewellery and natural skincare products.

The seasonal collection is packed full of new designs, colours and styles inspired by the special places we care for.

Plant sales

The seasonal plant range includes wildlife-friendly and sensory favourites, as well as a few more unusual plants that you might like to grow in your own garden.

Books for all

The shop stocks an extensive range of local interest books, childrens' books and the popular range of National Trust books. We also have a second-hand bookshop in the stableyard which is open everyday. This is run by volunteers so please check on arrival for opening times.
