Half term adventures at Kedleston Hall

For some autumnal fun this half term, wrap up warm, pull on your wellies, head outdoors and spend time in nature.

What adventures await you?

We understand it can be a challenge keeping everyone entertained through this October half-term. Bring the family to Kedleston to kick through the leaves, look out for birds feasting on wild berries and fungi growing inside fallen tree trunks.

Explore the grounds to discover the horse chestnut trees and hunt for their fallen conkers. Catch a fallen leaf or why not take it home to create some wild art.

Children's Ancient Tree Trail

Why not discover the many ancient and veteran trees throughout the parkland?

Take part in a bespoke seasonal trail for children and families visiting Kedleston Hall. The trail leaflet includes a map of the parkland with the locations of our key trees identified. Activities on the back of the leaflet, including a wildlife wordsearch, will keep your children entertained either on your walk or on the journey home.

Collect your free leaflet at visitor reception from 17th October to 15th November.

Due to these current times, we are unable to provide pencils, so please remember to bring your own pen or pencil with you.
