Natural and Heritage Crafts
We have a range of Natural and Heritage craft sessions available for clubs here at Kedleston. Have fun learning new skills which would once have been common like natural dyeing, drop spindles and weaving.
Nowadays it's difficult to image what it would have been like without the technology we rely on every day, when we couldn't just nip to the shop and buy things. Over the centuries many of us have lost touch with the nature around us and amazing supply of raw materials it provides.
Possible activities include:
- Natural dyeing
- Make and learn how to drop spindle
- Willow weaving
- Coppice crafts
All sessions can be tailored to suit a range of ages group sizes, just contact our learning coordinator Charlotte Repton for more information.
