One off Bushcraft and Survival day

A young boy learning bushcraft skills

We know that it can be difficult to sign up to a longer six week course of forest school sessions, especially if your school isn't on Kedleston's doorstep. Instead we can offer a compact one day workshop which we can tailor to focus on projects you have on at your school or give a curriculum focus.

We believe that the woodland we have here at Kedleston is our greatest learning resource. We can work with you to create a completely tailor made class trip. We can give focus on the following curriculum areas: materials/properties, Living things and their habitats, Prehistory and Design and Technology. There's a whole host of activities on offer from fire lighting, shelter building, water purification and tree and plant ID.

We find these workshops are also particularly effective in helping to build confidence and work well as team building days.

All sessions can be tailored to suit individual year groups at KS1 and KS2.

As our workshops are so flexible we advise contacting our learning coordinator Charlotte Repton to discuss the options available.
