The ponies are back

These four-legged friends are helping with conservation of the Clump.

On your visit to Killerton, why not say hello to these four-legged friends who have kindly been lent to help with conservation of the Clump?

Kestrel, Bays Delight, Spring Lady and Gemini are four female ponies from the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust here to help us with conservation of the Clump.

Here until Spring, the grazing and trampling of scrub and brambles on the Clump will help keep it open, encourage wild flowers and protect the Iron Age hill fort.

We've kindly borrowed them from Margaret Rogers of North Hall Manor, who works in association with Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust to preserve the pure Dartmoor Pony.

To keep the ponies safe and happy, we ask that you do not feed them and keep your dogs on a lead. Thank you.
