Beginners crochet workshop

Book on to our beginners crochet workshop at Leith Hill Place and pick up a new skill.

If you are looking to learn a new, practical skill, then book a place on our beginner's crochet workshop on Monday, 14 May. You'll learn all the basic stitches, how to create a starting chain and create a beautiful bag or basket to take home.

Crafter Susan Blandford who runs Crochet Essentials will be running the workshop. Susan enjoys the versatility of crochet and has made dresses, cardigans, Christmas decorations, dog coats, baby grows, snoods, floor rugs, blankets and more. She has also delved into upcycling - turning a pair of old school trousers into cushions. This beginners course will share the basics of this timeless craft and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

The workshop costs £50 per person and will include a hot drink and cake, soup and a roll lunch and a chance to purchase some creations by Susan. You'll need to bring a size 7mm crochet hook and 100g of chunky wool in your favourite colour. The workshop runs from 10am-3:30pm.
