Roald Dahl's 'Revolting Rhymes' with Chamberhouse Wind Quintet
Join Chamberhouse Wind Quintet, pianist Sally Goodworth and narrator Joanthan Butcher on a merry romp through Roald Dahl's 'Revolting Rhymes'. An outdoor family performance on Saturday 4 June at 5.30pm at Leith Hill Place.
After a fun filled performance of 'Peter and the Wolf' last year, Chamberhouse Wind Quintet return to Leith Hill Place by popular demand. Accompanied this time by the dextrous pinao playing of Sally Goodworth and again with Joanthan Butcher's masterful narration, the tales will leap out at youand draw you under their spell.
In this Roald Dahl anniversary year, what better time to celebrate the magic of one of Britain's best loved authors. Given an added dimension by this talented group of musicians, this is a special treat for young and old to enjoy.
The programme will also include other favourites such as selections from 'Carnival of the Animals' and 'The Pink Panther'.
Bring a picnic and enjoy the glorious view while you listen. The performance takes place nice and early for young families. The kitchen will be open for hot and cold drinks.
