This Easter holiday, at a special place near you, there’s an Easter trail brimming with clues and challenges. The trails test your powers of observation and deduction and lead to intriguing new discoveries about the places you visit. When you follow an Easter trail, you help us look after special places like Hughenden and Cliveden for those who follow.

This Easter, delve into a lost world of chivalry at Stowe. Follow in the adventures of Redcrosse, a brave knight on a quest to find his love Una. If you avoid the tricks of the deceitful witch Duessa and conquer the ferocious dragon, a chocolatey prize awaits.

Hunt for giant eggs in Hughenden’s gardens from 1 - 17 April on the Cadbury Egg Hunt, become a trail tracker with our Rangers with an orienteering challenge or even try climbing a great big tree during the Easter holidays.

Basildon Park 

Take in a spring trail around the grounds at Basildon Park all through the Easter holidays and discover what's happening in nature. There's a special waymarked route to find the Basil Den where you can tick off 50 things to do before you're 11 3/4 fun too. Or from 14 - 17 April you can follow the Cadbury Egg Hunt of giant eggs left by a very special bunny for a yummy chocolate treat at the end.

Join us over the school holidays for our super sensory spring trail. Find all the boxes down Miss Alice's Drive - what will you feel? Smell? You might just find out more about the creatures that live here at Waddesdon along the way. Or there's the Cadbury Egg Hunt for those looking to follow clues and find a yummy chocolate treat.

Easter 2017 at Ashridge 2 Herts


There are Easter crafts in the first week of the Easter holidays (Monday 3 - Friday 7 February) at Ashridge and Cadbury Egg Hunts in the second week. There's a discount offer for early birds (£3 per hunt) for those who come along on Monday 10 - Thursday 13 April. The Cadbury Egg Hunt is £5 over Easter weekend.

As part of the Cliveden Entertains programme, an exciting new game comes to Cliveden this spring. Crack the clues and follow the trail to solve this game of 'whodunnit'. And if you're looking for Easter eggs, there's the Cadbury Egg Hunt too - follow the clues to find a yummy choccy prize.

Greys Court 

There's a great opportunity for getting out and about in the holidays on the estate walk around Greys Court. With spring flowers to spot along the route, and natural play spots for the kids to discover along the route, this makes for an ideal family outing to get everyone out of the house. Or from 14 - 17 April, explore Greys Court whilst hunting down clues to claim a yummy chocolate treat on the Cadbury Egg Hunt.

The Vyne 

You'll find lots of spring wildlife and wildflower characters on The Vyne's Cadbury Egg Hunt. This nature-themed trail introduces you to plenty of real wildlife spots too, including the cosy wetland bird hide. A new Tudor animals trail features creatures you may have seen here in the 16th-century. Back at base, there's more fun - illustrate a handmade clay tile, destined for our new roof. 8 - 23 April, 10am - 4pm, £3 per entrant.
