Easter holiday fun in and around Hampshire in 2017

This article was about our Easter holiday activities in 2017. We'll be updating this with 2018 event information next year. This Easter you’ll find nature-themed trails running throughout the school holidays at lots of our special places around Hampshire. Our Cadbury Egg Hunts take kids on clue-filled quests indoors and out - there's giant birds' eggs to discover at Uppark, Tudor-themed creatures hiding at The Vyne, and all sorts of spring wildlife to learn about at Mottisfont. Young explorers will be rewarded with a chocolate Easter treat. Every visit you make helps us keep these places open for future generations.

8 - 23 April: Spring has sprung at Mottisfont and all kinds of animals are stirring in the gardens. Pick up a Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt trail sheet to discover the creatures that scamper, crawl and wiggle around the grounds. Complete the nature-themed activities to earn yourself a delicious Cadbury chocolate bunny.

Winchester City Mill 

This ancient mill is hiding the Easter Bunny's secret stash of chocolate. Follow the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt to collect a chocolate reward. There's more delicious Easter fun at our baking demonstrations, plus a new holiday challenge game for kids, and prizes. Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt: 14 - 17 April, £2 per entry, 10am - 4pm; Baking demonstrations: 14, 16, 23 April, 10am - 3pm; holiday trail challenge: 8 - 23 April, 10am - 4pm.

The Vyne 

You'll find lots of spring wildlife and wildflower characters on The Vyne's Cadbury Egg Hunt. This nature-themed trail introduces you to plenty of real wildlife spots too, including the cosy wetland bird hide. A new Tudor animals trail features creatures you may have seen here in the 16th-century. Back at base, there's more fun - illustrate a handmade clay tile, destined for our new roof. 8 - 23 April, 10am - 4pm, £3 per entrant.

Hinton Ampner 

The Easter bunny needs your help to finish his rounds. Become a bunny yourself and follow Hinton Ampner's Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt around these pretty gardens. You'll need to perform various bunny activities along the way, to collect a delicious chocolate bunny. 8 - 23 April, 10am - 5pm, £3 per trail sheet.

Uppark House and Garden 

The Cadbury Bunny has hidden chocolate eggs across the country. Some of them are tucked away at Uppark. Now it's up to you to find them, on the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt. Use our special map to track down giant bird eggs in the garden. There's lots of facts to discover about our native birds too. In the house you'll find even more hidden eggs. There's a Cadbury chocolate treat for all entrants. 8 - 23 April, 10am - 4.30pm, £3 per entrant.

New Forest Northern Commons 

You’ll be getting out into the ‘wilds’ of the New Forest with this Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt. Discover signs of spring with our rangers and learn all about the birds that live in the Forest. Find out where they nest and the creepy crawlies they like to eat. There's Cadbury bunny rewards for all trail entrants, plus den building and bushcraft. Round things off with our BBQ and toasted marshmallows by the fire 16 & 17 April, £4, booking essential on 01794 344020.

Mompesson House 

Follow the clues left by the Easter bunny around the house and garden. If you can complete the hunt you can claim a delicious Cadbury chocolate prize. 14 - 17 April, 11am - 4.30pm, £1.50 per trail sheet.
