Wrap up warm to enjoy the abbey bathed in multi-coloured lights with live festive music ringing throughout the ruins. Stop by Swanley Grange along the way and get stuck into some crafty Christmas preparations. Don't forget to bring a letter for Father Christmas to post at the Christmas Post Office.

A Clock Work Christmas at Nostell 

Walk through the house all ready for Christmas and festooned with handcrafted decorations inspired by John Harrison’s ticking treasure. Drop by the Workshop to get creative with craft activities and call into the Top Hall by the tree to take a festive family photo. There's also a giant frame on the vista to take a festive selfie too.

Christmas through the ages 

Explore Christmas through the ages at Nunnington Hall with rooms decorated in the fashions of important periods from the hall’s history, including the Georgian era, the roaring ‘20s and WWII. There’s a special community art exhibition to discover too, celebrating arts and crafts from across Yorkshire. And what would Christmas be without a visit from the man in red? Little ones will have the chance to meet Father Christmas at Nunnington on selected days.

Take a trip up to the attic grotto at Treasurer's House to visit Father Christmas. Listen to stories and receive a gift. There'll be craft activities too - come and make your Christmas tree decorations to take home.

Take a glimpse into the Pennyman family’s traditional 1950s Christmas at Ormesby and experience the sights, sounds and smells of their home during the festive period. Little ones will have the chance to meet Father Christmas too, as he stops off in the hall with his team of elves on selected days.
