Christmas through the ages 

Explore Christmas through the ages at Nunnington Hall with rooms decorated in the fashions of important periods from the hall’s history, including the Georgian era, the roaring ‘20s and WWII. There’s a special community art exhibition to discover too, celebrating arts and crafts from across Yorkshire. And what would Christmas be without a visit from the man in red? Little ones will have the chance to meet Father Christmas at Nunnington on selected days.

Make a Christmas wish

Soak up the magical atmosphere at East Riddlesden Hall with the Christmas Market on 8-9 December. There’ll be gifts to buy, food, drinks, carols and plenty seasonal spirit. Tie your own wish to the Christmas tree in the Great Hall and follow the festive garden trail.

Meet the man himself 

Take a glimpse into the Pennyman family’s traditional 1950s Christmas at Ormesby and experience the sights, sounds and smells of their home during the festive period. Little ones will have the chance to meet Father Christmas too, as he stops off in the hall with his team of elves on selected days.
