May half-term activities

Investigate the bugs beneath your feet

Children can delve into nature this May half-term at Lydford Gorge.

Take the nature trail to spot a bird as it flies past or maybe even poses for a minute to draw a picture.  Hunt for bugs to get a closer look at what is living beneath our feet, and try to beat your wings as fast as a bee or float around the orchard like a butterfly. The nature trail runs from Saturday 27 May to Sunday 4 June, normal admission applies.

For those feeling active combine the nature trail with a short or long walk through the gorge. New leaves will be growing on the trees making the Gorge feel more sheltered and magical.

On Thursday 1 June join the ranger team and learn how to use hand tools and natural materials to create a unique wild sculpture to take home.  Make one as a family or make one each, £3 per sculpture, booking essential, normal admission applies.
