Half term fun at Lyme

This May half term, there's plenty of adventures waiting for you at Lyme. From exploring the garden with our adventures in nature trail, to seeing how many activities you can tick off your '50 things to do before you're 11¾' list. The hardest part is deciding what to do first. We recommend pre-booking your visit to guarantee entry during the school holidays.

Calling all young adventurers...

There's lots of fun to be had at Lyme this half term. Why not join our adventures in nature trail and see what you can spot in the Lyme garden? Complete the trail and earn a reward at the end. Trail packs can be purchased in the Hall Shop and at the Refreshment Kiosk for £3 each.

Whilst you're out exploring, why not see how many challenges from your '50 things' list you can try at Lyme? There are so many things you can do, here's just a few of our favourite to get you started this half term:

No.1 Get to know a tree

Have a look around you, can you see any trees from where you are? One tree can be home to hundreds of creatures so try and see what species you can spot.

No.30 Go on a colour scavenger hunt

Pollinators like bees and butterflies work hard to fill our gardens with colour. There are colours all around you at Lyme, what colours can you see where you're standing now?

No.44 Watch a bird

Choose a good spot and keep a look out. You'll need to be as quiet as a mouse. Make a note of their colours, shapes and what song they sing.

Discover a new adventure inside the house

There's lots to see inside the house at Lyme, why not become an investigator for the day and see how many Legh family emblems you can find. Remember to keep your eyes peeled in each of the rooms on the trail.
