Marsden Moor spring plant fair
For over twenty years, the annual spring plant fair has been the highlight of our horticultural year at Marsden Moor, and as our biggest plant sale event, plays a vital role in raising funds to support our conservation work.
This year's fair will take place Sunday 19 May, 10.30am - 3pm, in the Old Goods Yard carpark, HD7 6DH.
Come along to browse a wide selection of plants and find the perfect plant to take back to your garden at home, from annuals to alpines, there'll be something to suit every garden. As well as plants galore, a selection of stalls selling local produce, handcrafted wooden items, National Trust retail and refreshments means there’s plenty to interest everyone. For those looking to learn a little, information stalls from Holme Valley Mountain Rescue, Canal & Rivers Trust and Moors for the Future's Bogtastic Van will also be on-site.
All our plants are homegrown by our knowledgeable plant group volunteers, who’ll be on hand through the day to offer help and advice when choosing your next garden addition. To reduce waste, and increase the sustainability of our spring plant fair, we encourage buyers to bring their own bags and boxes to take purchases home in.
When you support our plant sales, you are helping us protect over 5000 acres of moorland, a vital habitat for upland birds and mountain hare, for future generations.
