Closure of Watermeads Nature Reserve

A couple and their dog walk along a tree lined riverside path in Watermeads

Public access to the Watermeads Nature Reserve has been prevented since Thursday 25 May when our staff identified a potential danger to visitors.

This involved part of the path which had been undermined by the river and posed the risk of further bank collapse.

Following a structural survey of the area, we are now the process of engaging contractors to complete remedial works.  We hope to have Watermeads open again as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused at this time.

The public right of way that runs along the outside of the southern boundary is not affected.
