Learning opportunities at Moseley Old Hall

Moseley Old Hall is the home that saved a King. Discover the significant part this local place played in giving shelter to Charles II in 1651 when he was escaping from Cromwell's Parliamentary troops. Our schools programme has not one, but six Sandford Awards so you're sure of a quality visit.

Living History days

Provide your children with a unique insight into day-to-day life in a 17th-century country house.

Activity days

Take on a local history study providing a range of activities that link to a variety of curriculum areas. They focus on Tudor or Stuart history local to the area.

Traditional stories

Red Riding Hood is brought to life for your group at Moseley Old Hall. This supports the language and literacy curriculum at Foundation and KS1.

Explore the Woods

A chance for some natural play in our woodlands. This supports the Early Years and KS1 curriculum in the areas of communication and language, physical development and personal, social and emotional development.

Part-day Visits

For a mostly self-led visit to Moseley, our part-day visits can include a tour of the hall with a member of our Learning team and access to the Cowshed for independent activities. Popular with creative writing students.
£4.00 EGM / £8.00 non-member
Prices are per child and include admission and all activity materials. Teacher admission is free.

Education group membership (EGM)

There are great advantages to becoming an Education Group Member - it's also a much lower cost option for schools and other groups, from scouts to the Open University.
You can join at the property on the day of your visit - please pay by cash or cheque.
