Moseley Second-hand Bookshop reopening
We are delighted to announce the reopening of our Second-hand Bookshop.
From Tuesday 1 September we will be reopening the bookshop for pre-booked visitors.
Keeping everyone safe
To keep you safe we have introduced a one-way route through the Bookshop and hand sanitising gel will be made available on entry and exit.
We are also limiting the number of people who can access the Bookshop at any one time, so we are asking all visitors to please queue for entry.
For everyones safety we are asking all visitors to make conactless payments wherever possible. This can be done either by card in our Cart Shed Kiosk or by texting to donate on the number advertised on the posters in the Bookshop. Where contactless payment is not possible, visitors can donate cash in the donation box inside the Bookshop. However, please bear in mind change can not be given.
If you wish to donate books to our Second-hand Bookshop you must contact our property team first to make prior arrangements. Donations without prior arrangement will not be accepted.
In line with government guidelines, you're required to wear a face covering in the Second-hand Bookshop (as well as our Cart Shed Kiosk) in England and Northern Ireland. Please bring one with you.
To help keep everyone safe, please follow social distancing and government guidance when you visit. If you’re showing any of the symptoms of coronavirus, or if you've been in contact with anyone that has the virus in the last 14 days, please don’t visit.
We also ask that any large bags, rucksacks and large prams are not to be bought into the Bookshop. We are unable to look after these items for you. Please remove any valuables as they are left at your own risk.
Make the most of your visit
In our Bookshop there are hundreds of pre-loved books waiting for their new homes. There is a book for everyone here - so if you are an avid reader, looking to start or complete a collection, or considering a new hobby, pop in and see what can tempt you. You could find the latest bestsellers or forgotten classics, photographic collections or wildly imaginative children’s tales to name but a few. There is no need to spend a fortune on reading, and the best part is every penny made by a second-hand book purchase goes towards important conservation or projects at Moseley Old Hall itself.
The gardens at Moseley Old Hall will reopen from 19 July and you'll need to book tickets before you visit. Members can book for free, while non-members will need to pay when booking. We'll be releasing tickets every Friday. Please note we'll be turning people away who arrive and haven't booked. We're looking forward to welcoming you back.
