Ever wanted to explore behind the scenes here at Mr Straw’s House? Join us for a Revealed Tour on June 13th and you can do just that! Endcliffe Villa is bursting at the seams with one of the biggest collections in the National Trust, and the Revealed Tour provides the opportunity to peek into cupboards and have a nose in the archive and textile store. Tickets are £10 and must be booked in advance.
If stretching your legs in the fresh spring air sounds more your thing book a place on one of our walking tours of Worksop and explore the town the Straw’s called home. Learn more about the history of this Midlands market town and follow in the footsteps of the Straw family. Spaces are limited so please book in advance, tickets cost £5 and the tour runs on May 16th, June 20th and other dates throughout the year.
This season also sees the introduction of our Lecture Afternoon Teas and on the 4th of July we’ll be celebrating 25 years since Mr Straw’s House first opened its doors. Join us to explore the impact of William Straw leaving his collection to the National Trust, and the changes in the organisation that led to the purchase of the buildings and acquisition of the collection. Tickets cost £15 and as with all other tours and events, booking is essential.
