Edwardian weekend at Newark

Meet Newark's residents from the Edwardian times, play croquet on the lawn and see the kitchen maids hard at work to prepare the afternoon tea.

Edwardian ladies in the drawing room

Newark Park has a long history, with fascinating developments in the Tudor and Georgian periods, as well as more recent times.
This weekend we will be looking back especially at Newark's Edwardian past, with a great chance to meet the Edwardian residents and hear their stories. Meet Mrs King and her daughter Dottie as they amble along the gardens, and see how the kitchen maids are preparing the afternoon picnic for the ladies.
There will also be croquet and boules on the lawn, for anyone who fancies a game.
