Snowdrop season at Newark Park
Newark Park re-opens on 4 and 5 February with a special snowdrop weekend. Bring your walking boots and enjoy a winter's walk amongst carpets of snowdrops in the gardens and the estate. Warm up with a hot beverage and a tasty piece of cake from the pavilion, and you can even buy some snowdrop plants for your own garden. Newark Park then re-opens fully from 11 February, when there will also be a fun children's trail for the Half Term holidays.
Snowdrops in bloom traditionally signal the end of winter, and there are many carpets of snowdrops to admire in the Newark gardens and estate. So bring your wellies or walking boots for an enchanting winter's walk at Newark Park.
You can warm up at the end of your walk with a hot drink and if you're staying for lunch we can recommend a tasty panini from the catering pavilion. Did you know that you can enjoy your lunch in the Tudor Sitting Room in Newark House?
On cold days the fires on the ground floor of Newark Park are lit, and whilst you are in the house make sure to find out more about the intriguing history of the building. You can find the shop on the first floor of the house, with stunning views of the Cotswold countryside.
Younger visitors might want to try out our House trails, as well as the dressing up room on the first floor. And in Half Term week we host a special trail for children (though the whole family might want to help out!).
