A Clock Work Christmas

The Top Hall at Nostell decorated for Christmas

This year Nostell's Christmas festivities have a Clock Work theme, as a final celebration of the John Harrison clock, which turned 300 this year. Look out for cogs, clocks and clockwork toys amongst the traditional decorations.

Take a #Nostellelfie

After helping the volunteers and staff with all those cogs and clock faces, the Christmas elves have gone out to play hide and seek in the gardens. See how many of the handmade cheeky chaps you can find and share your snaps with us on Twitter and Facebook @NostellNT! Explore the gardens on any day, 10am - 4pm.

Family holiday fun

Tuesday 2 - Sunday 7 January

Got some excited little elves in your house? There's plenty to do at Nostell to make those magical memories. We've led activities Tuesday 2 - Sunday 7 January including planting winter veg, orienteering and wild art.

Visiting over the Christmas week? Pick up a winter wildlife trail to explore the gardens, try out those new bikes and scooters on the parkland paths and have a go at den building in Joiner's Wood. Remember we're open every day except Christmas day!

Wrap up and take a relaxing winter stroll through the grounds
