Eating and shopping at Nuffield Place

Afternoon tea in the garden at Nuffield Place

Nuffield Place has much to offer groups and individual visitors. Beyond the interesting glimpse into its recent history, you can treat yourselves to a thing or two in the tea-room and shop.

A spot of afternoon tea

Fancy a pit stop before or after wandering around Nuffield Place? Then stop off in our tea room, where light lunches are served as well as tea and cakes.

What's on offer?

  • A selection of handmade sandwiches
  • Soup of the day
  • Salads with a pork pie or a quiche
  • Tea and coffee
  • A selection of cakes and gluten-free cakes
  • Cream teas

Please note that our tea room can sometimes get very busy, and we may serve drinks in takeaway cups on these occasions.

Why not bring a picnic with you and enjoy an alfresco lunch in the gardens?

To the shop

The shop is situated in the house at the end of the visit where, after wandering through Lord Nuffield's house, you might be inspired to pick up a gift. Pop in and peruse through the selection of goodies: perhaps you fancy a little Morris Minor of your own?

Take a plant home

Pick up a plant or three for your garden at home, grown in the garden at Nuffield place. All proceeds go towards the restoration of the lovely gardens.

Garden guides

The pretty gardens at Nuffield Place are in a state of constant change as the garden team work hard to restore them. Find out how and what we are doing by picking up one of the garden guides.
