Volunteering at Nuffield Place
Since it was founded in 1895 the National Trust has been a volunteer-based organisation. Now nearly 60,000 people give their time to us. Here at Nuffield Place we have over 100 volunteers and they are a vital part of the team. Most of the people you meet when you visit us will be volunteers, who are vital to ensuring you all have a great day out.

Calling all housekeepers - do you love historic houses and interiors? We're looking for housekeeping assistants to help us keep Nuffield Place looking its best, so that visitors can continue to enjoy it well into the future.
Volunteer room guides help visitors to enjoy and learn more about Nuffield Place, playing a key role in making visits inspiring and engaging. Volunteer room guides also help by playing a part in safeguarding the house and its collection.
Opportunities are available between 10.45am and 5.00pm.
Visitor Reception Volunteers
Do you like engaging with people and giving a warm welcome? This role may be just for you. At Nuffield Place we need help saying hello to visitors and members, as well as giving them a quick insight into the property and it's fascinating history.
Opportunities are available between 10am and 4.30pm.
Retail Assistant Volunteers
Do you have great people skills and enjoy making people feel welcome? We are looking for Retail Assistant volunteers to help visitors complete their visit to the house by choosing and purchasing gifts and mementos.
Opportunities are available between 10am and 5pm.
