Be wild about nature
From stunning wildlife photography to seeing spectacular birds of prey in flight, we've plenty to keep the whole family entertained this May bank holiday.
Returning for the sixth year, see the winning entries of the British Wildlife Photography Awards competition, celebrating the diversity of the natural world in British Isles.
The awards were created to celebrate the talents of both amateur and professional photographers, while revealing the splendour of Britain’s wildlife. With sixteen separate categories including animal behaviour, urban wildlife, habitat, animal portraits, marine life and a special category for Wildlife in HD Video.
Be inspired and get involved this May bank holiday
To celebrate the return of this prestigious exhibition, experience something special on Monday 2 May as you get up close and personal with York Bird of Prey. See them soar across the sky and find out all about them. We'll have experienced Falconers onsite throughout the day to answer questions and introduce some of these magnificent birds. You can also enjoy a flying display during the afternoon, so don’t forget to bring your camera! (time of the flying display depends on the weather conditions.)
The British Wildlife Photography Awards exhibition will showcase over 100 images and videos of the winning and commended entries until Sunday 26 June.
