Treasure Travels at Ormesby Hall

Family following the garden trail

Set sail for a treasure island themed summer

Collect your treasure map on arrival and follow it to find the clues to collect your stamp in the garden, including shipwreck cove and crocodile swamp. How much treasure can you find in sandy creek as you dig in the sand pits in the courtyard?

Inside follow the message in a bottle trail in the search for Jim Hawkins, pass through the captains cabin and look out for the sleeping pirate.

On Mondays make a pirate flag and bunting and on Tuesdays make a hook hand and eye patch, craft sessions run from Monday 22 July - Tuesday 27 August, 12pm - 2pm. On Wednesdays join the pirate to listen to some swashbucking tales of pirates and the high seas.

Dress up as a pirate and take a photo with the giant cardboard pirate ship in the entrance hall, made by our talented volunteer and artist Bev Smith and on some days you may see some pirates walking around. (volunteer availability dependant)
