Festive Mondays at Ormesby Hall

Admiring the decorated Christmas tree

Ormesby Hall will be open on Mondays, from 25 November to 16 December for a more peaceful way to enjoy the festivities. Take a stroll around the Hall, decorated for Christmas with handmade angel decorations, listen to the choir, taste fresh baking in the kitchen, pick up gifts in the shop and enjoy a festive fayre in the tea-room.

Experience the hall in a different light and with a whole new look, as the house is decorated for Christmas with fresh greenery collected from the grounds, Christmas trees with a mix of twinkling lights, baubles and handmade angel decorations made by our fantastic team of volunteers.

Listen to festive music as you wander around the rooms, with the live choir performing in the entrance hall, with the festive music spreading through the house.

In the Victorian kitchen volunteers will be doing some fresh baking, with the return of the popular drop scones and cherry bread, and of course there will be samples to taste.

The tea-room offers a range of festive fayre, hot food and hot drinks to warm you up on a cold winters day. You can choose to sit inside or relax by the fire pit in the festively decorated courtyard.

Pick up a perfect present for family and friends or a tempting treat for yourself from the shop.

As this is a quieter version of our weekend Christmas activities, with some elements such as Father Christmas visits and storytelling not taking place on Mondays. If you're bringing the family and want lots of activities to entertain your little ones, please come along at weekends.

Normal admission applies to visit this Christmas, with free entry for National Trust members.
