St George's Day at Owletts

Children dressed up as St George and the Dragon on St George's Day

The dragon was a fearsome beast, eating children for a feast. His scaly body, all fiery red, supported an enormous head. And in this head a gaping jaw, from which such fierce flames would roar.

Come and join us as we celebrate the opening of Owletts for 2016 with some St George's Day fun on Sunday 24 April.

Don't miss this opportunity to have-a-go at archery (£3 for 6 arrows), as well as seeing and holding some of the weapons of knights of old.

Take part in a traditional mummers play, which tells the tale of St George and the Dragon.

Tea room (not National Trust) open for drinks and cakes.
