Walks at Oxburgh Hall

A family enjoying a leisurely walk at Oxburgh Hall

With over 70 acres of beautiful estate, we have walking routes to suit every ability; from four legs to pram friendly pathways there's no excuse not to get out in the fresh air with us.

Oxburgh’s Estate Walks

There is much more to Oxburgh than the formal gardens. The estate extends to 70 acres and includes three distinct areas of woodland, rivers, meadows and an abundance of wildlife. Wander in the family’s historic pleasure ground, known as the Wilderness, or take a riverside stroll through My Lady’s Wood - you may be lucky enough to spot a kingfisher, water vole or even an otter!

Take a longer walk around the whole estate through My Lady’s Wood and Home Covert to really get off the beaten track. In Home Covert, you will also find our Den Building Area. In the summer months, explore the Washpit - a wetland flower meadow. Leaflets and route maps are available from the ticket office, including maps for wheelchair and buggy access.
