Take along your 50 Things booklet to the Welly Walk and tick off some of those activities such as building a den, bird spotting and making a trail with sticks. The Welly Walk is a wonderful woodland area, full of adventure and a great place to run free, discover wildlife and have fun. Using a child friendly map, families can embark on an adventure together through the woodland with various activities at different points along the walk.

If the weather is fair bring a picnic and head to the tennis lawn to relax while the children play with the outdoor games or grab a tasty ice-cream.

The lake is the ideal place to spot a variety of birds from Canada geese, moor hens and our our native greylag geese. It's also a perfect place to go on a bug hunt, turn over a few logs and see what creepy crawlies you can find scurrying around in the mud.
