Packwood to St Giles walk
Come and enjoy a gentle stroll across the Warwickshire countryside and explore St Giles Church where Baron Ash's parents are laid to rest.

Start:
Packwood House car park, grid ref: SP173723

Turn right out of the car park at Packwood and continue along Packwood Lane. Walk past the junction on your left with Grove Lane.

About 20 metres after the junction you will see a metal kissing gate on your left at the entrance to a field. Follow the black 'Millennium Way' marker directing you straight ahead through the middle of the field.

On the other side of this field pass through another metal kissing gate. Walk a short distance ahead and look out for a post on your right which shows the black 'Millennium Way', directing you sharp right along a path leading to a power pole a short distance ahead. Walk to the pole and on its left you will see a small wooden gate which leads into the Churchyard of St Giles Church.
St Giles Church
Take time to explore this lovely ancient Church and it beautiful peaceful setting. Entry to the church is via the wooden porch and door ahead of you. Please respect that this continues to be a place of prayer and contemplation.

To move on, turn left as you step out of the Church and follow the path around to the outside of the Church, keeping the building on your left. As you reach the end of the Church stay on the grass path to the right walking through the cemetery.
Baron Ash Memorial
The last memorial and grave on the right is that of Graham Baron ash and his parents Alfred and Emily Ash of Packwood.

After passing this memorial pass through a wooden gate ahead and turn immediately right into a field. Keeping the field on your left and the hedge close to your right, follow the path.

Walk under some power lines and past a large oak tree in the hedge on your right. A short distance after the tree you will see a metal kissing gate located in the hedge on your right. Go through the gate into another field. Walk straight ahead to the top left hand side of this field to another metal kissing gate which leads onto Packwood Lane.

Turn right and walk a short distance along the road back to the National Trust car park at Packwood. Time for some lovely refreshments in the Garden Kitchen Cafe.
