If you'd like to help us collect apples and take part in the annual celebration of apples and orchards, Parke's Apple day is on Saturday 30 September, 10.30am - 3.30pm.
As the apples are collected, ponies will carry them to the press which will be set up in the picnic area of the orchard.
The apples will then be washed and scratted (ground up). Throughout the morning, you'll be able to see our restored, traditional, press being built up, ready for a press around 2pm.
In the same area of the orchard, there will also be:
- A demo mini press for anyone to use to press their own apples, or some collected from the orchard
- National Trust shop
- Ranger Ralph activities
- Orchard trail
- Longest peel challenge
To make a whole day of it, you could bring a picnic and stay around the orchard soaking up the atmosphere, or you could sample some of Home Farm Café’s scrumptious food.
