Sundays: Voices Musical Workshops

A guitar in the trees, symbolising the Voices Musical Workshops at Penrhyn Castle

We're delighted to announce that we've teamed up with two of North Wales' most popular artists, Eve Goodman and Elin Taylor to bring you a series of musical workshops, inspired by the voice of nature and the trees around us.

Penrhyn Castle will be bursting with song this summer as we invite you to join us in music making workshops, including special performances by our resident musicians.

Eve and Elin will help you get inspired to write lyrics and create music with the instruments provided before performing your collaborative pieces with them!

Artist Eve Goodman

Eve Goodman (21 July, 18 & 25 August)

Eve grew up in Caernarfon, and moved to Cardiff to study English Literature, where she honed her creative writing and song-writing craft. After her degree Eve left the city to live in a cabin on a Cornish farm, where she wrote and recorded her first EP. Eve finds her words and meaning in nature; some of her favourite songs were written outside.

Elin Taylor, Musician

Elin Taylor (28 July, 4 & 11 August)

A seasoned orchestral musician, Elin is a music leader for the accredited 'Camau Cerdd - Steps in Music' programme, providing specialised music lessons for young children in an explorative and fun environment. She often draws upon the folk tradition she grew up with in Wales for inspiration, of which her studio project 'The Seasons of Snowdonia' was inspired by.
