Number 4: Build a den in the woods

Try your hand at den building, use the natural materials you can find in the woodlands at Penrose and have a go at building a shelter.

Number 5: Skim a stone at Dollar Cove

Skimming stones is easy, just find yourself a flat, round stone and give it a fling. How many bounces can you make it do?! Head to Dollar Cove at Gunwalloe for a beach with plenty of great "skimmers" on offer.

Number 11: Go on a long bike ride 

Penrose is great for cycling, follow some of the trails through the woods or the parkland, there is plenty on offer for all abilities.

There are bridges across many of the rivers that flow into Loe Pool all around Penrose, each one provides a great location to try a game of Pooh sticks.

Number 42: Swimming in the sea at Gunwalloe 

There is nothing better on a hot day at the beach that cooling off in the sea. At Gunwalloe Church Cove the beach is lifeguarded during the summer holidays so it's perfect for a safe beach swimming adventure.
