Polesden Lacey Ranger Run, near Dorking, Surrey

Running trail

The open spaces of the Polesden Lacey estate are a perfect escape from the bustle of England’s south east, and nearby Bookham station is less than an hour by train from central London. This trail run is along the waymarked Trust 10 route, taking in Grade II registered parkland and stunning SSSI woodland dating back 400 years. This part of the North Downs offers glorious views out across the surrounding countryside and it’s a fantastic run at any time of the year, although may be muddy in winter. Nearby you’ll also find Box Hill, Leith Hill and the North Downs Way, all great for on-foot exploration.

This route has been created in collaboration with expert trail runners and adventurers Jen and Sim Benson, as part of our Ranger Run Series

Three people run across Polesden Lacey estate, with Polesden Lacey house in the background.
