The Peacock Trail at Powis Castle

A close-up of a peacock displaying his ornate tail.

Shake those tail feathers and join Captain Peacock and friends on a family adventure this spring.

Follow in the footsteps of some of Powis' most famous residents as you explore our beautiful garden.

Hunt along the Italianate Terraces and in the shade of giant yew hedges to find the footprints of Captain Peacock and his friends. Discover what’s waiting at the end to claim your own chocolate peacock egg (non-chocolate prize is available).

26 May-27 June, 10am-4pm. Normal admission prices apply, plus £1 per trail

What you need to know:

To ensure the safety of our visitors, staff, volunteers and local communities, we've reduced the number of people we can welcome at one time. On weekdays you don’t need to pre-book your visit but at busier times, like weekends, bank holidays and school holidays, booking is recommended to guarantee entry.

Every Friday we'll release new tickets for visits the following week and you'll need to book your tickets by 3pm on the day before your visit. Please book one ticket per person, except for children under five as they don’t need a ticket.

The trail can be purchased from the Ticket Office on arrival.

Thank you for following Welsh Government guidelines whilst visiting and we look forward to seeing you soon.
