Quarry Bank is a wonderful venue for meetings, conferences and away days.  It provides an inspiring base for successful team building and is perfect when something a little bit different is required.

All of our event rooms host natural daylight and exceptional views.

There are fantastic transport links. Quarry Bank is just a short walk from Styal train station, a 10 minute taxi journey from Manchester Airport or Wilmslow train stations, 25 minutes drive from central Manchester and 2 hours train journey from London.

Rooms with a view

The Alexander Suite

Located on the top floor of the original weaving shed, this impressive conference suite was originally used to produce woven cloth for the final stage of the mill’s cotton. With large original windows lining both sides of the room and spectacular views across the mill meadow, the Alexander Suite is large air-conditioned event space perfectly suited to hosting large conferences, seminars, product launches, exhibitions and gala dinners for up to 150 delegates. The Alexander Suite also features its own private bar.

The Grant Suite

The Grant Suite is located on the first floor of the original weaving shed and was once used to support the mill’s production of woven cloth. Featuring large original windows lining both sides of the room, the Grant Suite is flexible event space perfectly suited to medium sized conferences, business meetings, exhibitions and private dinners for up to 80 delegates. The Grant Suite may also be hired in conjunction with our larger Alexander Suite to offer your delegates additional break out space or as the perfect place to entertain guests with pre-dinner drinks.

Meadowview Room

This private meeting room can accommodate up to 6 delegates and is ideal for conducting small business meetings and interviews, or used as a private work space or breakout room for a larger event taking place in our adjacent conference suites.

Mill Café

This versatile space can be hired out exclusively for evening events after 5pm with a capacity of up to 75 delegates. Featuring beautiful views across the meadow and an original stone floor steeped in over 300 years of mill history, the Mill Café may be used as private bar and is an ideal space to host an informal evening class, community event, training session or private dinner.

Garden Café

The fantastic Garden Café offers a versatile space with an option to hire out exclusively for evening events after 5pm. The Garden Café can be used as a retreat to enjoy afternoon refreshments away from a busy morning of business or as an informal base for an exciting team building activity taking place on our extensive open grounds.

With a glass front facade, private terrace and retractable roof, the Garden Café offers exclusive evening access to the adjacent upper garden where your guests can enjoy the magnificent views down over the mill and gardens.

Perfectly suited for drinks receptions, evening events or private dinners, this café may be used with a private bar option and provides indoor seating for up to 50 delegates with an additional 25 seats outside on the adjoining terrace. Optional exclusive hire available after 5pm.

Outside Spaces and Team Building Activities

Our beautifully landscaped gardens, extensive woodland and meadow offer the perfect space to host a memorable outdoor corporate event or fun team building activity. We work closely with an external activity provider and can help you plan a team building day that fulfills your own specific objectives, boosting employee morale and productivity. We can suggest a range of activities and can help you design team building activities from a light-hearted treasure hunt in the woods, volunteering time to assist our rangers or gardeners, through to carefully monitored and debriefed training games spread throughout the estate.

Bespoke Hire and Tour Packages

From hosting meetings in the shadow of the mill or entertaining with private banqueting events on the meadow, to hosting large corporate family fun days across the estate, our hospitality team will work with you to put together a tailor-made hire package to suit any budget. We can also arrange exclusive private tours of the mill, gardens and Apprentice House for your delegates.

A choice of room hire and day delegate packages are available. Day delegate rates are available for business events attended by 10+ or more delegates and packages start from just £20.00 per person inc VAT. Please call our hospitality team on 01625 445846 to discuss your requirements.
