The first part of the Quarry Bank has been realised with the restoration of the upper garden and rare glasshouse. We hope that you enjoy the garden.

The Real Mill Workers' World 

Styal village was home to the mill workers at Quarry Bank. For the first time, you will be able to take a tour of a worker's cottage and experience first hand what home life was like for the workers of Quarry Bank.

Unlocking Quarry Bank House  

For the first time, step inside the Greg family home and take a unique opportunity to visit a mill owner's house which is a rare survival here in the UK.

Breathing New Life into the Mill 

The heart of Quarry Bank, the Mill, will be revolutionised in 2018. We will provide better access with a new entrance from ground floor level and a lift to access all five levels. We will also update the stories that we tell to create a great experience for your visit.

Our rangers work hard to look after the estate here at Quarry Bank and thanks to the project we will be restoring parts of the Northern Woods to show how it would have been during the Gregs' time.
