Group visits to Rainham Hall

Staff member and visitor at Rainham Hall, London

Book your group visit to experience Rainham Hall, the Stables Café and Gardens in the company of friends. Arranging your visit with us in advance will ensure the best experience.

Rainham Hall is one of several smaller National Trust properties located in London, and we welcome small groups to visit during our normal opening hours. Please note we can only accommodate groups of up to 15 people at any one time inside the Hall. If you're interested in bringing a larger group (maximum of 30 people) then we ask you to split your party into two to enable staggered Hall entry. A visit to the Hall takes around 45 minutes, and you'll need additional time to enjoy our Gardens and the Stables Café.

Prices, Transport and Catering

Our standard entry is £9.50 per adult (£10.45 gift aid entry), groups of 10 or more people qualify for the reduced rate of £9.00 per person. National Trust members enter for free.

Rainham Hall does not have a car park, but we are happy to provide advice on nearby options and public transport links to Rainham Hall.

We offer group rates for a range of food and drink options in our Stables Café. Groups of 8 or more who wish to visit the café must book catering 2 weeks prior to their visit. We can supply menu options and catering booking forms on request.

Things to see and do

Our current exhibition, The Denney Edition – celebrating an icon of 20th century style, explores the life and career of Anthony Denney, one of Rainham Hall's 1960s inhabitants. Denney was a fashion photographer and Decoration Editor for British Vogue, and an influential tastemaker, art collector and patron. The exhibition covers three floors of the Hall. Alongside artefacts and photographs from Denney’s personal life, the Hall is presented as if it were itself a magazine, with spaces representing fashion, jewellery, arts, interiors, food, gardening, and travel.

Take a stroll in our nearly three acre Community garden and enjoy this haven for urban wildlife. The garden splits into four distinct spaces, the Hall borders, the Orchard and Kitchen Garden, the Meandering borders, and the Woodland. The garden is constantly evolving and is full of seasonal delight.
