Rainham Hall is one of several smaller National Trust properties located in London, and we welcome small groups to visit during our normal opening hours.

Things to see and do

Opening in June 2019, our new exhibition, Anthony Denney – celebrating an icon of 20th century design, explores the life and career of Anthony Denney, one of Rainham Hall's 1960s inhabitants. Denney was a fashion photographer and Decoration Editor for British Vogue, and an influential tastemaker, art collector and patron. The exhibition covers three floors of the Hall. Alongside artefacts and photographs from Denney’s personal life, the Hall will be presented as if it were itself a magazine, with spaces representing fashion, jewellery, arts, interiors, food, gardening, and travel.

Surrounded by a contrasting landscape of big skies, industry, and marshland, our Community Gardens are an oasis in the heart of Rainham. Take a stroll about the gardens and enjoy this haven for urban wildlife.

Stables Cafe

Our Stables Café is open Wednesdays to Sundays, 10am-5pm, offering delicious coffees and teas, a selection of cold drinks, cakes, and sweet treats. Light lunches are subject to availability between 12-2pm.
