Rainham Village Christmas Fayre
On Saturday 2 December 2017 we hosted craft activities as part of the local annual Rainham Village Christmas Fayre.
PLEASE NOTE: This event took place in 2017.
The Rainham Village Fayre is a local annual celebration heralding the start of the festive season. It's a time when people from the London Borough of Havering and beyond visit the small, urban village of Rainham to enjoy stalls, activities and entertainment. Rainham Hall has been situated proudly in the heart of the village since 1729, and we'll be hosting crafting activities on the Fayre day to help families get into the Christmas spirit.
The Fayre took place on Saturday 2 December 2017, and we offered the following activities:
10.30am-12pm: Paper Christmas decoration making - Craft decorations out of paper inspired by our 1940s 'make do and mend' Christmas theme and take them home to decorate your own house. Ticket: 50p per child. Location: The Hayloft. Ages: Suitable for 5-12 year olds.
1.30pm-3pm: Make your own Father Christmas log - Our Community Gardener will help you to pick a log and saw it to craft the base of your very own Father Christmas. You'll then be able to decorate it and create your own unique decorations. Tickets: £3 per child. Location: The Gardens. Ages: Suitable for 5-16 years old. We recommend dressing for the outdoors and in clothes you do not mind getting messy for this session.
Baby changing facilities and toilets can be found just behind the Brewhouse and Stables Café. We offer a great picnic box for children and a selection of sandwiches and light lunches for grown-ups. You'll find seating inside the Stables Café. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times when visiting Rainham Hall or participating in our activities. If you have any questions just ask a member of our team.
