We are working hard behind the to ensure that every visit to Rowallane is a positive and memorable one. Everyone needs nature and we are doing our bit to ensure that there are no barriers to accessing the green spaces and gardens of Rowallane.

The National Trust is for everyone, and at Rowallane Garden Our team have been working hard to improve accessibility across the site to enable more visitors to enjoy and explore this special place.

Borrow our mobility vehicles

Rowallane Garden has two new mobility scooters available for visitors to use, free of charge. These can be reserved in advance of your visit by calling or emailing us, or requested on arrival at the visitor hut. 

Who can use the mobility vehicles?

Our vehicles are for use by anyone who struggles with walking distances or has limited mobility of any kind.

What's on site

We've made a number of improvements to our facilities and visitor offer lately to make Rowallane Garden more accessible.

  • Two mobility scooters are available to hire free of charge
  • Audio loops are available in our Welcome Hut and Cafe
  • There is dedicated disabled parking located at the top of the car park.
  • There are disabled toilets in the Visitor Centre and Stable Yard.
