Come for a walk, explore the garden and take in all the vibrant colours, fresh scents and the sounds of a wide range of wildlife. Join us for a fun filled summer and embrace the great outdoors.

We have a summer of activities and events planned for you to enjoying. Enchancing our regular visitor we're hoping to create an unforttable experience for you to immerse yourself in this summer season. 

Come out and play

From 1 July to 31 get the heart racing with a summer of sport and come out and play at Rowallane Garden. We'll be encouraging our visitors, young and old to give it a go and get active with a range of nature themed activities inspired by traditional sports day fun and games. And with the explore and play area and Little Lions Den in the Barn, there is plenty to entertain the kids this summer. 

Gigs in the Garden

Throughout August we'll be hosting an array of local musical talent in the garden. Every Saturday in August Rowallane Garden will be filled with live music from 2pm.  Keep an eye on the 'What's On' section and our socials more for information.

Storytelling Sessions

A complete hit with our visitors Storytelling sessions are returning this summer and will take place every Wednesday from 2:30pm in the Barn. Keep an eye on the 'What's On' section and our socials more for information.

Bring a picnic

The garden team have mown out areas in the pleasure ground that are connected by paths. These off the beaten track spots provide a quiet place in nature to enjoy a picnic. So bring a blanket, the picnic basket and find a spot to sit back and relax or set up at a picnic table. The cafe has a range of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and sweet treats for you to grab.

The Viewpoint Walk

We are opening new spaces for you to explore. Experience the Viewpoint walk and get ready to take a walk on the wild side as you meandre through a blossoming wildflower meadow.

Guided Garden Tours

We want you to discover the history and beauty of Rowallane Garden, and these guided garden tours are a great way to do that, led by our incredible Garden team they offer you the chance to get off the beaten track and find secret spots throughout the garden. Yoga in the Garden

Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a complete novice these drop in yoga sessions are for visitors of all abilities. Deepen your connection with nature, try something new or enjoy your daily practice in the beautiful setting of Rowallane Garden. Locations may vary depending on weather. Keep an eye on our social media and 'What's On' section for updates. 

Mindful moments

Rowallane Garden is full of secret corners and quiet spots where you can take time to yourself to just enjoy the sights, sounds and scents of nature. We have a mindfulness trail at Rowallane Garden for you to follow, and tips to help you get the most out of your visit. You can follow the trail or, go off the beaten track and explore.

Summer Garden Party

To mark the end of the summer and celebrate the long, bank holiday weekend we're hosting a Garden party from Saturday 27 to Monday 29 August. You're invited to join us for live music, fun and games, face painting and a BBQ.
