Get set to ride a balance bike at Rufford Old Hall

Children riding balance bikes

Will you be able to keep up with your children once they’ve learnt to cycle? Come along to Rufford Old Hall and borrow one of our free balance bikes – the perfect way to help your future cyclists learn how to ride, in beautiful, traffic-free surroundings.

Lets get your future cyclists off to a great start

Cycling is an important life skill and a healthy way to explore outdoors. We want to help the next generation’s cyclists learn to ride, starting their lifelong love of cycling in beautiful natural surroundings. That's why we are delighted to offer free-to-hire balance bikes to our visitors.

Just turn up and ride

The balance bikes and helmets are available to hire from the Reception. You don’t need to book anything, and the balance bikes are free to use - just turn up and get going!

Explore on wheels

There are plenty of paths to follow through the gardens and the wide open space of the Orchard Paddock makes it a great place to ride around.
