Snowshill for families

Family on a trail at Snowshill Manor

Snowshill is a great place to spend time with the family, with plenty to see and do for young explorers and parents alike.

Snowshill Manor sees hundreds of families visiting each year and has a number of things for youngsters to see and do.

Activities and games

On the way to the house there's a hazel maze in the woods with a hidden den. You can also explore the garden with a new children's garden trail and follow the clues, taking you on an exciting journey around the vibrant garden.

Wolf's Cove model village is a work in progress but is already proving popular with children. The marina is taking shape and you can already see some of the small buildings and figurines dotted around the banks.

A pre or post-lunch stop near the tea-room offers the chance to play games, including giant jenga. There is also a wooden tractor for little ones to sit on, complete with a little wooden sheep.

Inside the Manor

There are some interesting elements in the manor too - from the model houses and trains to the Knight's armour, which you can try on. There is also a dressing up room, where you can try on old style clothes and hats.

Gosia Rumsey, Marketing Officer at Snowshill, said: "Families make up a significant number of visitors here and we're keen to make sure there are things for youngsters to enjoy - from trails and games to dressing up and events. We love seeing children enjoying Snowshill as much as their parents and grandparents."
